If you wish to loosely commission a piece with limited requirements i.e. "I want a cherry coloured Scotty dog about a foot long with a short upstanding tail for outdoor use on my garden gate" - then we can probably accommodate your wishes - on the other hand if your list of specific requirements is greater than a few sentences; then I would be less keen.
The best commissions always come from a great union between the requirements of the customer and an individual artist's interpretation. Subjectiveness of written requirements or specifications or indeed omissions can add a lot of ambiguity into a potentially frought process. Any lack of clarity or cohesion between the visions of either the artist and the client provides increased likelihood of significant misapprehension especially in a remote undertaking with potentially sparse communication.
You can ask - and we might reply No. On the other hand - if we do say Yes you will be asked for payment in advance - and that payment will be non refundable. We prefer to keep everything simple, clean, clear and straightforward!
